In a span of about 23 hrs, my three favorite teams, Pasadena Maple Leafs Bantam and Pee Wee teams, and my beloved LA Kings were all victorious by a combined scored of 19-2, so I was +17 in SCAHA terms! Hockey nirvana found! Jonathan was solid in net, and as he handled the reporters and parents and coaches after the game (mostly parents and coaches, but I am sort of a reporter...), he was sporting a cool Millionaire hat and some killer CHP type shades. On and off the ice, that boy is chill!
In the interest of time, I just put up my favorite play of the game. Of course, I am off to the rink for a scrimmage at Paramount--how else would I end the day?
Anyway, late in the third, Teddy took the left point, as we set the power play up...enjoy! This is actually the final goal of the game with just a couple minutes left..

Just three and a half minutes in, Sean earned a chance on nice hustle and pressure on the d-man, which lead to this--way to go 44!

Andrew joins the play and fires a shot, and Chris gets to the front and bangs in the rebound for a 2-0 lead with about 10 minutes left in the 1st period.

Two plays with Taylor in the thick of things, the first a steal and chance on a wrist shot form near the circle, and the second a play down low with Jack and Kevin, resulting in another opportunity with good pressure down low!

Danny got into the act, unleashing his lethal weapon of a wrister up high glove side to make it 3-0 with 5 mins left 1st period! How you spell sniper?? That would be D-A-N-N-Y aka 96!

Aaron quickly moves the puck D to D to Andrew who skates in and blows it by the goalie for a 4-0 lead with just under 8 minutes left 2nd period..nice pressure!
No 16 to No 71 D to D and it is four on the board!
Make it five on the Power play, diagonal pass thru the defense usually means a good scoring opportunity, and Chris makes no mistake after a nice pass from David number 8!

Late in the second period, Leafs can't clear, and the goalie is forced to knock one more aside before the end of the period. Gotta know the clock, no late in period or early in period goals--they give much momentum to the enemy!

With about 12 mins left in the third, we had just put good pressure on during a power play but failed to score, so Andrew went back as we re-grouped, and he streaked down the wing and froze the defense, and slid a pass across to Danny! Notice my cheap Bob Miller impersonation..

With all that scoring, the D did some other things, like this nice solid hit from Aaron, and David getting loose for a shot off the wing.
